Como a estratégia de saúde da família pode ser considerada ferramenta de apoio no combate ao Covid-19?

The objective of this study is to describe the performance of FHS professionals in the face of the new epidemic (COVID-19). Methodology: it’s an exploratory and narrative review of literature, with the purpose of gathering and synthesizing the published studies, enabling general conclusions on a given theme. Results and Discussion: COVID-19 is a single-stranded, ribonucleic acid vírus, responsible for producing an influenza-like syndrome. It appeared in December 2019, in the Hubei region, China. This vírus has spread throughout the world and today is a global pandemic, due to its rapid form of transmission and the worsening in predisposed people. The profesionals of the Family Health Strategy will actively search the community for posible cases of flu syndrome and isolate then, according to manuals of national and international agencies, in addition to monitoring each case and the evolution. If necessary, the user will be referred to a COVID-19 reference center. Conclusion: Family health strategy profesionals have the main function, in this current pandemic, of SARS-CoV-2, to track new cases of flu syndrome, suspected or positive cases for COVID-19, isolate these users at home, perform follow-up care and guidance to Family members and caregivers.
